


ArmInfo. The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MESC) of Armenia is initiating the process of revoking the teaching license of a teacher who raised his hand against a student at a school in the Gegharkunik region.
A statement received by ArmInfo from the ministry stated that the MESCS of Armenia has appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Education Inspectorate, and the Republican Pedagogical and Psychological Center with a request to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the incident that occurred at a school in Vardadzor, Gegharkunik region, with the goal of thoroughly examining the matter and taking into account the interests of all students in the school and class.
"At the same time, appropriate legal procedures will be initiated in the near future to revoke the teacher's teaching license," - the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science and Culture said in a statement.
Earlier, footage of a teacher striking a second-grade student at a school in Vardadzor was circulated in the media. The video sparked widespread public outcry.
