The Prosecutor's Office is demanding the confiscation of immovable and movable property worth approximately 450 million drams belonging to Armen Manukyan, a former employee of the RA State Revenue Committee, in favor of the state. This was stated in a statement by the RA Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the source, the Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for consideration another case from the Prosecutor General's Office regarding the confiscation of property of illegal origin. The supervisory authority's Department for Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin filed a petition with the court to confiscate property from Armen Manukyan (the son-in-law of former Yerevan Mayor Robert Nazaryan) and persons associated with him, who held various positions in The State Revenue Committee, three real estate properties, two of which are located in Yerevan and one in the Kotayk region, one vehicle, two shares in legal entities, and 211,795,000 drams in the remaining illicit funds.
The prosecutor's office is also focusing on 236,633,000 drams, which, according to the supervisory authority, are unfounded in terms of the individual's legal income, but which were transferred to a bona fide purchaser or are not subject to identification and confiscation.
