


ArmInfo. A delegation led by Kamo Tsutsulyan, Chief of Police and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, took part in the regular meeting of the Council of CIS Interior Ministers in Dushanbe.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, met with him before the meeting of the Council of Heads of Delegations of the CIS Interior Ministers.
The meeting of the Council of CIS Interior Ministers was attended by the CIS interior ministers, their deputies, the Directorate of the Bureau for the Coordination of the Fight against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Crimes in the CIS Member States, representatives of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center, and the CIS Executive Committee.
The agenda included issues of electronic information exchange, including vehicle registration and deregistration, information on the issuance of driver's licenses, combating illegal migration, countering the use of information technology for drug trafficking, and cooperation in the fight against transnational crime, interstate search for individuals, the fight against cybercrime, and other issues.
Tsutsulyan presented ongoing reforms in the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, particularly in the police, as well as challenges in the fight against crime, particularly drug trafficking and cybercrime.
He also emphasized the importance of exchanging operational and analytical information and holding regular meetings between the heads of various departments of the CIS Ministries of Internal Affairs to improve the effectiveness of cooperation.
Relevant decisions were made on the issues included in the agenda.
It was decided to hold the next session of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states in 2027 in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
