


ArmInfo. Thanks to prompt police action, two individuals suspected of disobeying patrol officers and using firearms have been detained. This was reported in a statement by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the source, on October 5 at approximately 1:35 AM, the 112 Operations Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received information from a patrol service group that patrols in the Kotayk region had encountered a driver of a Hyundai who disobeyed a signal to stop. Shots were fired from the vehicle, resulting in two patrol officers being taken to a medical center with injuries. According to preliminary reports, their lives are not in danger.
Thanks to joint investigative efforts by various police services, two suspects in the crime and the Hyundai were located. According to preliminary reports, the driver and passenger of the Hyundai, residents of the Kotayk region, were intoxicated. A criminal case has been opened. Efforts are underway to clarify all the circumstances of the incident, including identifying the weapon used in the crime.
