ArmInfo. The current authorities of Armenia are very weak and are incapable of governing the state. This was stated by Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the “Strong Armenia” bloc.
The politician expressed the conviction that it was precisely the incompetence of Armenia’s authorities, headed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and their arrogance that led to the loss of Artsakh and capitulation.
"We are talking about Artsakh, but now our second most beautiful place, Syunik, is under threat of being lost. Yet even under these conditions, we see the indifference of Armenian society. That is why we are talking about the need for a joint struggle," he noted in an interview with Anzhela Tovmasyan for the “Zerkalo” portal.
According to him, the authorities are deliberately working to impoverish the Armenian people so that they can govern them more easily. He then drew attention to the policy of Armenia’s current authorities aimed at separating the Armenian diaspora from its homeland. He stressed the inadmissibility of such steps and the loss of such a powerful instrument of influence on the international stage. He noted that only Armenia and Israel in the world possess such a powerful diaspora, but unlike Israel, the Armenian side uses its potential ineffectively. Karapetyan stressed that after coming to power, they would very quickly restore ties between Armenia and the Diaspora.
"After coming to power, we will establish we will establish normal relations with our European partners. We will bring peace without concessions. There will be no situation like the current one," the politician said, expressing the conviction that no global center would benefit from the Turkification of Armenia.
He recalled that Russia is a friendly country and strategic ally of Armenia. However, according to him, their political force would act in Armenia’s national interests, establishing decent relations with all centers of power. Karapetyan also stressed the importance of returning relations to a normal course and lifting sanctions on Armenian products.
