ArmInfo. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has filed a lawsuit against Edgar Ghazaryan, a member of parliament from the Strong Armenia opposition faction. The case will be heard in the Yerevan Civil Court, before Judge Marina Tashchyan.
According to the court, Pashinyan is demanding that Edgar Ghazaryan publicly retract a statement made against him on September 27, 2026, which the plaintiff considers defamatory. In that statement, Edgar Ghazaryan noted that "the Azerbaijani offensive, the breakthrough of the defensive line, and the advance of Azerbaijani forces occurred only after October 6, 2020, when Nikol Pashinyan went to Stepanakert, held a meeting at the command post, returned, and began transmitting direct information to the enemy."
Pashinyan is demanding that the court compel Ghazaryan to refute this information, believing it to be "completely false, untrue, and defames RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan." The lawsuit proposes disseminating the refutation live or via video on the news website News.am.
Furthermore, the plaintiff demands that Edgar Ghazaryan pay the Prime Minister 6 million drams in compensation.
