Azerbaijani studies expert Tatevik Hayrapetyan responded in a Facebook post to Hajiyev’s statements, in which he also said, among other things, that “revanchist sentiments persist among Armenian youth.” “This is being said by an official whose dictatorial leader (Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev — ed.) refers to the territory of Armenia using expansionist names and raises an entire generation in Azerbaijan by instilling in them the idea that neighboring Armenia is their ‘historical land.’ This is done without any scientific justification or facts, solely to create an aggressive generation настроенной against Armenia,” the expert noted.

According to Hayrapetyan, it turns out that while Azerbaijan is actively preparing its generation for expansionist goals and war, Hajiyev is calling on the Armenian government to accelerate the process of depriving the Armenian people of their national dignity and turning them into a faceless mass without historical memory, since this would significantly facilitate the implementation of Azerbaijan’s expansionist plans. “Hajiyev should have thought carefully before giving such advice, because it is tantamount to a serial killer lecturing on humanism,” the Azerbaijani studies expert concluded.
