ArmInfo. Azerbaijan will never, under any circumstances, stop putting pressure on the Armenian people and putting forward its demands. Turkologist Varuzhan Geghamyan writes about this on his Facebook page.
According to him, a sovereign Armenian state ceases to exist when the state is unable to ensure the inviolability of its borders, unable to neutralize the unimpeded movement of an armed enemy within the country, does not risk punishing an armed enemy who attempted to kill (but miraculously only wounded) citizens of the state, and does not inform its citizens about this, so as not to violate the thesis of "peace with Azerbaijanis."
"The state also ceases to exist when it surrenders to the enemy under the guise of "goodwill," receiving nothing in return, when dozens of its own citizens are in enemy prisons, when the state does not make the violation of borders and the conquest of the country's territory its primary concern, instead targeting its own citizens expressing dissatisfaction with what is happening." The state doesn't even risk making harsh statements. In all these cases, there is no longer a sovereign state. Unfortunately, what happened yesterday in Syunik once again proved this: there is no longer an Armenian national state. Azerbaijan will never, under any circumstances, stop pressuring us and making its demands. And it will enter everyone's homes. And those who speak on behalf of the Armenian state will not protect you. Don't fall for propaganda," the political scientist noted.
As a reminder, yesterday at 2:15 PM, the 112 Operations Center of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report that an Azerbaijani had shot an Armenian citizen in the leg in the village of Shaki in the Syunik region. Task forces from various police units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived at the scene. Urgent measures were taken to clarify all the circumstances of the incident. It was established that the crime was committed by an Azerbaijani serviceman, who was detained. "Details of the incident were also presented to the Azerbaijani side. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has opened a criminal investigation into the incident," the National Security Service of Armenia previously reported.
