ArmInfo. The youth wing of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) "Dashnaktsutyun" (ARF Dashnaktsutyun) of Armenia will hold a protest outside the building of the National Security Service (NSS) regarding the illegal entry of an Azerbaijani serviceman into the country.
The statement from the youth wing notes that the Azerbaijani serviceman crossed the state border unhindered, reached a populated area in Armenia, and opened fire on an Armenian citizen.
"And this despite the fact that the NSS admits that the threat had been known for several days. This happens when the entire security system is preoccupied exclusively with persecuting its own citizens, while the country's borders remain unprotected. However, we cannot accept this humiliation. Therefore, we call on all citizens to join the protest, which will begin on October 2 at 3:00 PM outside the National Security Service building.
We demand: the arrest of the criminal who opened fire on the Armenian citizen; not his release as a "goodwill gesture," but his exchange for Armenian prisoners held in Baku prisons," the statement received by ArmInfo reads.
As a reminder, the news that Azerbaijani serviceman Nasimi Musayev entered the home of a resident of the village of Shake in the Syunik region became known on the afternoon of October 1. A statement from the National Security Service of Armenia revealed that Armenian and Azerbaijani authorities had been searching for the serviceman since September 29, while no security outreach was conducted, and residents of the region were kept in the dark. Moreover, Azerbaijani media reports indicate that the Azerbaijani soldier has been sought since September 26. His whereabouts during this period remain unknown.
