


ArmInfo. An Azerbaijani serviceman who entered Armenia wounded a man in the village of Shaki in the Syunik region.
According to the National Security Service of Armenia, on September 29, the State Security Service of Azerbaijan informed the National Security Service of Armenia that a serviceman from one of the Azerbaijani military units had left his duty station under unknown circumstances.
The National Security Service of Armenia added that it was not ruled out that he may have illegally crossed the border of the Republic of Armenia. It added that the competent authorities of Armenia and Azerbaijan subsequently conducted appropriate search operations.
"On October 1 at 2:15 PM, the 112 Operations Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received a report that an Armenian citizen had received a gunshot wound to the leg in the village of Shaki in the Syunik region. Task forces from various police units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were dispatched to the scene. Urgent measures were taken to clarify all the circumstances of the incident. "It was determined that the crime was committed by an Azerbaijani serviceman, who was arrested," the Armenian National Security Service stated.
It is noted that details of the incident were also provided to the Azerbaijani side, and the Armenian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case.
