Diplomatic mission: US and Armenia are moving from agreements on critical minerals to practical steps

ArmInfo. The United States and Armenia are moving from critical minerals agreements to practical steps, advancing the implementation of the U.S.-Armenia Memorandum of Understanding on Critical Minerals. The document was signed on May 26 of this year in Yerevan. The press service of the U.S. Embassy in Armenia reported this on its Facebook page.

Paul Hooper, Director of the Energy Supply Chain Office in the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs, met with representatives of the Armenian government, private sector, and civil society to learn about the needs and opportunities of Armenia's mining sector and discuss potential areas of U.S. technical assistance.

"Together, we are building robust and diversified critical minerals supply chains, promoting prosperity and strengthening the strategic partnership between the U.S. and Armenia," the U.S. Embassy stated.
