The Armenian Juventus Academy has opened in one of Yerevan`s administrative districts

ArmInfo. The official opening ceremony of the Armenian Academy of the Juventus Football Club took place in the Avan administrative district of Yerevan.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MECS) of Armenia, the sports complex in Avan includes a gym, medical examination and recovery areas, a modern analytical room, residential quarters for coaches and students, and other facilities. The building was constructed in accordance with modern "green building" standards.

Speaking about the creation of high-quality football academies in Armenia, MECS Head Zhanna Andreasyan emphasized that the development of youth football and football education is an important prerequisite for future sporting success. According to the minister, implementing international experience and ensuring access to high-quality football education for Armenian children are priority strategic objectives, and work on them will continue.

According to the source, the head of the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science and Culture placed special emphasis on the social component of the project: talented children, including those from the regions, will have the opportunity to study at the academy free of charge, which, according to her, opens up broad prospects for future football talent. Touching on the preschool education component at Juventus academies, Andreasyan noted that the methods used to work with preschool-aged children can also be useful in general education, promoting physical development and athletic development. Andreasyan also emphasized the importance of increasing private investment in sports and implementing joint projects within the framework of public-private partnerships.

In turn, Peter Silverston, Chief Business Officer of Juventus Football Club, praised the infrastructure created in Armenia and the implementation of the program. "We are pleasantly surprised by the opening of this wonderful sports facility here. It testifies to the high level of Armenian representation, the tremendous work done here, and the high level of partnership between Armenia and Italy. Juventus has around 100 football academies around the world, but what we saw here is truly unique. Creating such infrastructure in just one year is an incredible achievement. Most importantly, 600-700 young students have already registered and begun training at the Juventus Academy," Silverstone noted.

According to the source, construction of the academy began in late May 2025, and two modern sports facilities are already operational in the Avan and Kentron districts of Yerevan, while construction of a third has begun in the Nor Hachin community of the Kotayk region. "Fifteen foreign coaches from within the Juventus Armenian Academy work with children training at the Juventus Armenian Academy. They employ modern training methods and approaches based on cutting-edge knowledge. The best academy graduates will have the opportunity to travel to Turin, to Juventus's main academy, to participate in the Juventus Academy World Championship and subsequently continue their careers with European clubs," the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture summarized.
