Armenia and Poland are considering expanding military cooperation, according to the Ministry of Defense.

First Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (AF) Edward Asryan met with Lieutenant General Krzysztof Król, Advisor to the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, to discuss prospects for expanding and developing military cooperation between the two countries.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, issues related to the reforms being carried out in the Armenian Armed Forces were also discussed during the meeting. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop programs for exchanging experience in a number of areas of mutual interest.

As a reminder, on September 11, the Armenian government approved the ratification of the agreement on military-technical cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries. The Agreement on Military-Technical Cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Poland was signed on February 26, 2026, in Warsaw.

Its purpose is to establish the basic principles and procedures for cooperation between the parties in the military-technical sphere, according to which Yerevan and Warsaw will cooperate based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit. Ratification of the agreement aims to further strengthen existing friendly relations and deepen cooperation on a lasting and long-term basis by expanding military-technical cooperation.
