ArmInfo. 515 hectares of land must be returned to the Vedi community of the Ararat region; another claim by the Armenian Prosecutor's Office has been upheld. This was stated in a statement by the supervisory body.
As noted in the statement, on December 2, 2024, the Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit with the Anti-Corruption Court against the enlarged Vedi community of the Ararat region (Goravan community) and an individual, demanding that the auctions for the sale of 515 hectares of land be declared invalid and that the consequences of invalidity be applied.
By a decision of the Anti-Corruption Court dated September 23, 2026, the Prosecutor General's Office's claim was upheld. The auctions for the sale of 11 land plots in the enlarged Vedi community of the Ararat region (Goravan community), totaling 515 hectares and a cadastral value of 37 million 31 thousand drams, were declared invalid.
After the verdict comes into force, the prosecutor's office will request the Cadastre Committee to register the Vedi community's ownership rights to the aforementioned land plots.
