The Armenian parliamentary delegation will participate in the international conference "Foundations of European Civilization - 1700 Years of Christianity in Georgia," which will be held in Tbilisi. The order to send the Armenian delegation was signed by Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan.

According to the parliament's press service, the Armenian delegation, which will be in the Georgian capital from September 30 to October 4, will include Vice Speaker of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Aleksanyan and Members of the National Assembly Sisak Gabrielyan and Tsovinar Vardanyan.

The international conference "Foundations of European Civilization - 1700 Years of Christianity in Georgia" will be held from September 30 to October 3, 2026. This forum is one of the key elements of a large-scale program of state and church events dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of the proclamation of Christianity as the state religion of Georgia (according to historical tradition, this occurred in 326 AD thanks to the preaching of St. Nino and the decision of King Mirian III). The main topic of discussion will be an analysis of Georgia's Christian heritage as an integral part of the pan-European civilizational foundation, a discussion of the role of faith in preserving the national identity, culture, and statehood of the country.
