The Central Election Commission has determined the numbers of parties and blocs for the local government elections on October 25

ArmInfo. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has drawn lots to assign serial numbers to parties and blocs participating in the local government elections to be held on October 25, 2026.

At its meeting on September 26, the CEC distributed the right to place campaign posters on outdoor billboards over 5 square meters in area.

The CEC also established the procedure and schedule for allocating airtime to parties and blocs participating in the elections to the councils of elders of the Artashat, Gavar, Yeghegnadzor, Ijevan, and Hrazdan communities, which will be held on October 25, 2026.

According to another decision made at the meeting, the CEC approved the schedules for the main events of the elections to be held on November 29, 2026. In the Ashtarak and Aparan communities of Aragatsotn Province, Metsamor and Baghramyan in Armavir Province, Sevan in Gegharkunik Province, Spitak in Lori Province, Ashotsk and Amasia in Shirak Province, Kapan in Syunik Province, and Noyemberyan in Tavush Province, elections will be held under the proportional system, while in the Arevut and Metsadzor communities of Aragatsotn Province, they will be held under the majoritarian system.

The Central Election Commission has accredited the public organization "Civil Youth Center" and organizations operating under the common name "Alliance of Independent Observers" to conduct an observation mission during the local government elections on October 25, 2026.
