PAP Press Secretary: Trucks carrying Tsarukyan`s "Noah" cognac have been unable to enter Russia for almost 20 days.

ArmInfo. Trucks carrying Noah cognac, owned by Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader Gagik Tsarukyan, have been stuck at the Upper Lars checkpoint for approximately 20 days and are unable to leave for Russia.

This was announced on September 25 at a press conference in Yerevan organized by members of the Public Committee for the Defense of Gagik Tsarukyan, by PAP spokesperson Iveta Tonoyan. Presenting the situation in general, Tonoyan said that the companies that make up the Multi Group concern have been out of business for approximately three months, as their premises are still sealed. "The operations of Euromotors were restored days earlier, as the courts ruled that the sealing process was illegal." "Legal proceedings against the remaining companies are ongoing," the PAP spokesperson reported.

She said they have also received reports of management problems at the Ararat Cement plant, the Yerevan Ararat Brandy, Wine and Vodka Factory, and the Multi Wellness sports and fitness complex. "As for the Ararat Cement plant, we have already noted that the price of cement has increased by approximately 20%, and supply volumes remain insufficient, which is creating serious problems for the construction market," Tonoyan added.

Currently, according to her, the relevant legal proceedings are ongoing. "There is already a first-instance court ruling against Multi Group Stone, according to which its typographical process was also deemed unlawful. "As for the remaining companies, our legal team will provide additional information on the progress of the relevant proceedings later," the PAP spokesperson concluded.

As a reminder, on July 6, Prosperous Armenia Party leader and businessman Gagik Tsarukyan was detained and taken to the Investigative Committee of Armenia. He is accused of organizing fraud and money laundering on an especially large scale. According to investigators, between 2022 and 2024, a group operating under his leadership, under the pretext of developing trade and economic ties between Armenia and Iran, created joint legal entities with the participation of Iranian citizens, after which they carried out a fraudulent scheme, causing damages totaling over $21 million. Furthermore, Gagik Tsarukyan has been charged with illegal hunting. On July 7, the court granted the prosecution's motion to remand Tsarukyan in custody for two months. As part of the case, on July 6, law enforcement agencies conducted searches at more than 70 addresses associated with Tsarukyan. The doors of all businesses were subsequently sealed. Some of them were nationalized by the state. On September 4, the court extended Tsarukyan's detention for another two months.
