Mirzoyan and Bayramov discussed unblocking economic and transport communications between Armenia and Azerbaijan

ArmInfo. On September 24, 2026, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

According to the RA MFA press service, the ministers emphasized the importance of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, reviewing the progress achieved since the agreements reached at the 2025 Washington Peace Summit. Particular attention was paid to unblocking economic and transport links between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

In this context, trade and transit cooperation between Armenia and Azerbaijan was highlighted as a practical example of the benefits of peace.

The ministers exchanged views on opportunities to advance a positive agenda in various multilateral forums.

The ministers agreed to continue direct dialogue.
