"The Future of Armenia and the New Geopolitics of the Region" – The annual APRI 2026 Forum is taking place in Yerevan

ArmInfo. The APRI Armenia 2026 forum is taking place in Yerevan from September 23 to 25 under the motto "Creating an Architecture of Change."

The APRI 2026 forum brought together representatives of policymakers, the diplomatic corps, the private sector, and civil society, as well as Armenians actively involved in public life. During the forum, participants will jointly explore paths for Armenia's further development in key areas. The program includes interdisciplinary discussions and in-depth keynote addresses, featuring government officials and international guests.

The conference will provide a platform for discussing a wide range of issues related to Armenia's geopolitical positioning, its relations with neighboring states, and economic development prospects. Participants will discuss the country's relations with its immediate neighbors, including Azerbaijan, as well as prospects for developing regional transport links.

A separate section will be devoted to the new logistics of Eurasia and how the changing configuration of regional connections may impact Armenia. Topics include the future of Armenia's relations with the European Union, growing geopolitical competition, and the partnership between Armenia and Kazakhstan.

The discussion will feature experts and representatives of leading research centers in the region, including Alisher Abdreshev, Leading Expert at the Department of European and American Studies at the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KazISS); Alireza Khoda Gholipour, Deputy Director General of the Institute for Political and International Studies at the Iranian Foreign Ministry; Alex Petriashvili, Senior Research Fellow at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS); and others.

The forum is organized by the APRI Armenia think tank.
