ArmInfo. On September 24, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan participated in an event organized by the US government entitled "Prosperity Through Peace: Investments in the Trans-Caspian Trade Route and TRIPP."
According to the press service of the MFAIT, Ararat Mirzoyan spoke at the discussion "Prospects for Peace: Implementation of TRIPP and the Trans-Caspian Route" along with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Brendan Hanrahan. US Special Envoy for Peacekeeping Operations Steve Witkoff also participated in the event.
Discussions addressed issues of peace and regional connectivity, as well as the significant achievements recorded since August 8, 2025.
In his speech, Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the historic significance of the August 8 Peace Summit, which took place with the decisive participation of the United States in establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and lifting the regional blockade. Ararat Mirzoyan described the tangible changes for citizens that have occurred thanks to the establishment of peace on the ground, as well as the positive changes in Armenian-Azerbaijani relations since the establishment of peace.
The RA Foreign Minister emphasized the key importance of TRIPP for regional countries in the effective development of interregional connectivity. Ararat Mirzoyan noted with satisfaction the very tangible, concrete successes achieved in developing the strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States. The event was dedicated to financial investment opportunities in the Trans-Caspian Entrepreneurship Fund. Representatives from Georgia, Central Asian countries, and the private sector participated in the discussions.
As a reminder, the TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) program is a large-scale Armenian-American infrastructure and investment project aimed at creating unimpeded multimodal transit links through Armenia. The project is designed to ensure transport links between the mainland of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic while maintaining Armenia's full sovereignty over the infrastructure within its territory. TRIPP is integrated into the broader Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor), linking Central Asia and the Caspian region with Europe. The project envisages the restoration and development of rail links, highways, as well as energy, digital, and support networks.
In June 2026, Armenia and the United States signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation for the TRIPP project. An Armenian-American company, the TRIPP Development Company, was established for its practical implementation. The United States launched the Trans-Caspian Enterprise Fund with $201 million in capital to stimulate private investment, while the Armenian leadership hopes to attract billions of dollars to the country's economy.
