Another tragic incident with a fatal outcome occurred in the Armenian Armed Forces

ArmInfo. Another tragic, fatal incident has occurred in the Armenian Armed Forces.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, on September 24, under still-unclear circumstances, contract serviceman D.K. died as a result of an explosion (his family has been duly informed). An investigation has been launched to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.

The Ministry of Defense expresses its condolences and support to the family, relatives, and fellow servicemen of the serviceman.

It should be noted that, according to official data from the Armenian Ministry of Defense, as of mid-August 2026, the agency has confirmed 11 deaths in the Armed Forces, five of which were among conscripts. At the same time, independent sources and human rights organizations have recorded over 30-35 cases of deaths of military personnel (mostly in non-combat situations) since the beginning of the year.
