Pashinyan and Erdogan held discussions in New York

ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. This was reported on the microblog of the 10th Communications Directorate of the Republic of Turkey. According to the source, the meeting took place at the Turkish House in New York.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed contacts between Turkey and Armenia, as well as regional and global issues.

President Erdoğan stated that Turkey supports the process of normalizing relations with Armenia in the areas of bilateral trade and transportation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the positive momentum in bilateral relations. He also expressed satisfaction with the mutual steps Azerbaijan and Armenia are taking as part of the peace process.

The Turkish President noted that expanding cooperation with Armenia in international organizations contributes to the normalization process and invited Prime Minister Pashinyan to the COP31 leaders' summit in Turkey.
