Gerasim Vardanyan will head the ARF proportional list in the local government elections in the Artashat community

ArmInfo.  Member of the Supreme Body of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Gerasim Vardanyan will head the ARF proportional list in the elections to the Local Self-Government Bodies (LSG) in the Artashat community of the Ararat region of Armenia. Vardanyan himself announced this on his Facebook page.

"Dear friends, relatives, fellow villagers, and compatriots who share my views and those of my friends, I would like to inform you that I have nominated myself for the post of community head in the local government elections to be held in the enlarged Artashat community on October 25, heading the ARF proportional list," he wrote.

He added that he believes these elections are another milestone and challenge in the fight against the anti-national policies of these authorities, which have been waged for years on the streets, in prisons, and in the courts.

"For a long time, these authorities have been occupying communities in various ways, turning them into a base for their capitulation, anti-national policies, and reproduction." Therefore, as a resident of the community and as a representative of one of the main opposition forces operating both in Armenia and in the wider Artashat community, by putting forward our candidacy as the main opponent of the local authorities, we offer the residents of the wider Artashat community our political alternative, fighting against their reproduction. I call on you to participate in the elections and express your political disagreement with the defeatist, capitulatory, and anti-national policies of the current authorities," he said.
