Armenia’s Prosecutor’s Office Seeks to Confiscate Movable and Immovable Property of Former Yerevan Kindergarten Director for the Benefit of the State

ArmInfo. The Prosecutor’s Office of Armenia is seeking the confiscation for the benefit of the state of the movable and immovable property of Armine Hayrapetyan, the former director of Yerevan Kindergarten No. 110, worth approximately AMD 130 million.  This is stated in a release from the press service of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the source, the Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for consideration another case brought by the Prosecutor General’s Office concerning the confiscation of property of illicit origin.  The supervisory body’s Department for the Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin filed a motion with the court to confiscate from Armine Hayrapetyan and persons affiliated with her, for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia, 1 item of real estate, 1 vehicle, and AMD 51 million 544 thousand as the remainder of unlawfully obtained funds.

The Prosecutor’s Office is also examining AMD 77 million 551 thousand that is not supported by the person’s lawful income, is of illicit origin, has been transferred to a bona fide purchaser, or is not subject to identification and confiscation.
