The Yerevan Russian Drama Theater will present three premieres in its 89th theatrical season.

ArmInfo. The Stanislavsky Yerevan Russian Drama Theater opened its 89th season on September 18 with "An Ordinary Story," based on Ivan Goncharov's novel of the same name. The play has recently received a warm reception from audiences and has been presented at several international theater festivals, including the A.P. Chekhov International Theater Festival (Moscow).

During the 89th season, the theater plans to continue working on new productions. Premieres of Anton Chekhov's "Three Sisters" (directed by Suren Shakhverdyan) and "The Bus" by S.

Stratiev (directed by People's Artist of Armenia Armen Khandikyan) will take place during the season. By the end of the year, audiences will also be treated to a children's play, "Twelve Months," for which work has already begun.

The theater's active festival schedule will continue. In October, "Tumach the Romantic" will be presented at the "Theater Lori" and Artashat Theater Festivals. Negotiations are also underway with the organizers of several international theater festivals to present the theater's productions at international venues.

According to the Russian Drama Theater, the September program is packed: audiences will be treated to both beloved old and new productions, including "The Pit" by A. Kuprin, "Hamlet. Collapse" by W. Shakespeare, and others.
