Nothing prevents RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from raising the issue of cultural genocide committed by Azerbaijan against the cultural and historical heritage of the Armenian people from the UN rostrum. Marianna Ghagramamyan, a member of the RA National Assembly from the Strong Armenia opposition faction, stated this at a briefing on September 22, commenting on the possibility of creating an investigative commission in the country's parliament on the issue of the Armenian Apostolic Church. According to Marianna Ghagramamyan, today the Armenian authorities are essentially continuing the policy that Azerbaijan has professed for decades. Everyone remembers how ethnic cleansing was committed in Artsakh, the indigenous Armenian population was expelled, and the Azerbaijani authorities are consistently trying to erase the Armenian traces in the region, calling them Albanian. All of this must be given a proper response at the highest level, rather than citing Matenadaran data.

Regarding the persecution of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Azerbaijani influence is obvious, especially after the well-known statement by Azerbaijan's spiritual leader, Allahshukur Pashazade. These persecutions, as the opposition leader noted, are unconstitutional. The Church in Armenia is separate from the state, and political authorities have no right to interfere in its internal affairs. Marianna Kagramanyan called the idea of creating such an investigative commission illegal. Referring to the accusations from Azerbaijan regarding the removal of frescoes and khachkars from Dadivank, she once again stated that Armenia must respond to them at the state level and at the highest level.  The Strong Armenia faction itself will not participate in anti-church processes and supports the See of Holy Etchmiadzin,
