



ArmInfo. There are no representatives of Armenia among the members of the observer mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the CSTO at the State Duma elections, Rustam Shokhmurod, head of the group of international observers of the CSTO PA, told RIA Novosti.
"No, there is no Armenia; they have suspended their participation in the CSTO. They are not here either. This is their decision," he said in an interview with the agency.
On the 2026 single voting day, elections will be held for deputies of the State Duma of the ninth convocation, as well as direct elections for the highest officials in 8 regions of Russia. In total, more than 2,200 campaigns at various levels are scheduled for EDG-2026, with 20,700 deputy mandates and elected positions to be filled. Voting will take place over three days, from September 18 to 20. Russian President Vladimir Putin previously called the upcoming elections for deputies of the State Duma of the ninth convocation the country’s most important domestic political event.
