Representatives of the Armenia faction discussed the domestic political situation in the country with the ambassadors of Sweden, the Netherlands, and Belgium.

ArmInfo. On September 18, Anna Grigoryan, head of the Armenia parliamentary faction, Artur Khachatryan, faction secretary, and Levon Kocharyan, member of the faction, met with the Ambassadors of Sweden, Eva Sundqvist, the Netherlands, Marieke Harriet Monroy-Winter, and Belgium, Erik de Muynck.

The Armenian parliament's press service told ArmInfo that the ambassadors discussed domestic political developments in Armenia following the recent parliamentary elections. The parties also touched on external challenges. "The parliamentarians presented cases that, in their view, indicate a retreat from democratic principles in Armenia and highlighted a number of violations they believe have been recorded in the areas of human rights protection and the rule of law," the statement reads.

According to the source, special attention was paid to problems existing in the country's judicial and legal system.
