Arminfo. At a hearing on September 17, the Yerevan Anti-Corruption Court extended the house arrest of Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the “Strong Armenia” bloc, for another two months.
During the hearing, which lasted about 7 hours and continued until late in the evening, the judge considered that the risks existing in the case remained and ruled to keep Karapetyan under house arrest.
After the hearing, Karapetyan himself told journalists that he did not expect fair decisions from the judicial and legal system of the so-called real Armenia and considered Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan responsible for its condition.
"Of course, we are dealing with the judicial and legal system of real Armenia, so we must be prepared for any decisions," he said.
It should be recalled that the businessman was arrested in June 2025 after making statements in defense of the Armenian Church. In December of last year, the preventive measure against Samvel Karapetyan was changed to house arrest and has since been extended several times.
