According to the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a magnitude 2.8 earthquake occurred on September 17 at 12:17 PM, 3 kilometers southeast of the village of Shoghakat in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia. The epicenter was located at a depth of 10 km, and the magnitude of the tremor at the epicenter was 3-4 on the Richter scale.
The magnitude 3-4 earthquake was felt in the villages of Shoghakat, Artanish, Drakhtik, and Jil in the Gegharkunik region.
