At the opening ceremony of the new administrative building of the Yeghegnadzor Rescue Service fire and rescue unit, Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan attached great importance to ensuring modern and safe working conditions for firefighters, which will contribute to the provision of dignified service and the delivery of prompt and high-quality assistance to the population.
As reported by the press service of Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sargsyan emphasized that improving and modernizing the infrastructure of the Rescue Service is among the priority areas of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ activities. According to her, the second administrative building is being commissioned this year, and work in this direction is continuing. In particular, construction of a new administrative building for the Bagramyan fire and rescue service is currently actively underway.
According to U.S. Chargé d’Affaires in Armenia David Allen, the operation of the building, equipped with modern technical means, will contribute to a faster response to emergency situations.
Paul Schneider, Commander of the Kansas National Guard, noted that ensuring proper working conditions is of paramount importance for increasing the effectiveness of the service.
Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that all necessary conditions have been created in the new administrative complex for the effective organization of the fire and rescue service and the provision of proper working conditions.
The construction of the new administrative building of the Yeghegnadzor fire and rescue department was carried out with U.S. funding.
