The deadline for entering citizens’ employment contracts with employers into Armenia’s digital system has been extended until June 30, 2028.

ArmInfo.  The deadline for entering citizens’ employment contracts with employers into Armenia’s digital system has been extended until June 30, 2028. The decision was adopted at the government meeting on September 17.

The rationale for the draft decision notes that the document was adopted due to the need to ensure the implementation of amendments to the Labor Code dated February 13, 2026. Under these amendments, the validity period of the provisions of the aforementioned laws permitting the conclusion, amendment, and termination of employment contracts exclusively through the digital system has been extended until July 1, 2027.  Until that date, employment contracts may be concluded through the digital system on a voluntary basis.  In connection with the amendments made to the aforementioned laws, the deadlines for entering employment contracts into the digital system are also being changed—to June 30, 2028.

With regard to citizens located outside the territory of the Republic of Armenia (not actually residing in the Republic of Armenia), foreigners, as well as persons holding refugee status or the status of an asylum seeker in the Republic of Armenia,  separate regulations on electronic digital signatures used by foreigners are no longer required.
