ArmInfo. Salaries of employees in Armenia’s public administration system will be increased. At its September 17 meeting, the RA Government approved amendments to the law “On Remuneration of Persons Holding State Positions and Civil Service Positions.”
According to the justification for the draft law, AMD 25 billion will be allocated annually for these purposes. This measure is aimed at improving the efficiency of the civil service system and ensuring its competitiveness. It should become an attractive environment for professionals to work in. Clear mechanisms need to be created for assessing the results of work carried out within the framework of the assigned tasks. The recorded results must be adequately rewarded. The justification also notes that the training of public system employees should be continuous and correspond to changing requirements.
The draft law is expected to enter into force on January 1, 2027.
