Footballer Sergei Pogosyan of the legendary Ararat-73 squad has died.

Arminfo.  Sergey Poghosyan, a footballer from the legendary "Ararat-73" squad, has died in Armenia at the age of 78. This was reported by FC "Ararat".

Sergey Poghosyan played for "Ararat" from 1970 to 1975, making 99 appearances and scoring 6 goals. In 1973, as part of the team, he became the USSR champion and won the USSR Cup.

Subsequently, Poghosyan graduated from the Faculty of Law at Yerevan State University, after which he worked for many years in the prosecution system, rising to the position of senior prosecutor in the Department of the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia. Colonel of Justice.

In 2007, he founded and headed the Union of Football Veterans of Armenia.

On October 10, 2013, for his significant contribution to the development of Armenian football and outstanding achievements, Sergey Poghosyan was awarded the "For Services to the Homeland" Medal, 1st Degree.
