Armenia’s Prosecutor’s Office Wants to Confiscate Hotel and Mansion of Former FFA President

ArmInfo.  As a result of the execution of a motion by the Prosecutor’s Office of Gegharkunik Province, the fence surrounding a mansion on Lake Sevan, illegally built by Ruben Hayrapetyan, former president of the Football Federation of Armenia and former deputy of the National Assembly of the RA, was dismantled. A lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor’s Office to protect state interests concerning the mansion itself is currently under consideration by the court. This is stated in a release from the press service of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office.

The release notes that, in addition to the mansion, the Prosecutor’s Office also filed a lawsuit to protect state interests concerning the administrative complex of the "Arsnakar" hotel and the cottages of the "Arsnakar" hotel.

It should be recalled that, as a result of the execution of motions by the Prosecutor’s Office, from December 2025 to July 1, 2026, 201 illegally constructed buildings, both main and auxiliary, were demolished on 68 plots of land on Lake Sevan, and 2 contracts with the "Sevan" National Park were also terminated.
