Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II and Archbishop Aksiy of Podolsk and Lyubertsy, head of the Yerevan and Armenian Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, discussed the organization of community life for Russian Orthodox believers in Armenia and their spiritual and pastoral care at a meeting in the Mother See of Etchmiadzin.
According to the press office of the Mother See of Etchmiadzin, the meeting also touched upon the fraternal relations and cooperation established between the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and the Russian Orthodox Church.
The parties mutually emphasized the need to further develop inter-church ties and cooperation in the pastoral sphere in order to further strengthen fraternal relations between the two Churches and the spiritual life of the peoples.
At the end of the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed fraternal Greetings and best wishes to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.
