ArmInfo. In the 2026 parliamentary elections, four opposition forces received 80% more votes than in 2021. Narek Karapetyan, head of the parliamentary faction "Strong Armenia," wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"The opposition received almost twice as many votes. And are there still desperate compatriots in Armenia who do not believe in the departure of the "Civil Contract" party?" he asked.

Let us remind you that regular parliamentary elections were held in Armenia on June 7, 2026.  Voter turnout was 58.97%. According to data from Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission, the ruling "Civil Contract" party of Nikol Pashinyan, Samvel Karapetyan’s "Strong Armenia" bloc, and the bloc of second President Robert Kocharyan, "Armenia," have entered parliament. The results of the other candidates are below the required electoral threshold of 4% for parties and 8- 10% for blocs. It is noteworthy that businessman Gagik Tsarukyan’s "Prosperous Armenia" party lost the required 4% after the CEC adjusted the results of the preliminary vote count in the country’s parliamentary elections. As a result, the party will not enter the new parliament.  It should be noted that from early morning on election day, observers and journalists reported numerous violations by the ruling force in the organization of voting.  Thus, Pashinyan’s party has the opportunity to form the country’s government single-handedly, having secured a majority of seats in the Armenian parliament. Pashinyan triumphantly announced this late at night, when data from only about 10% of polling stations had been processed.
