Samvel Karapetyan: “Strong Armenia” is developing a program to turn Tigranashen into a tourist center

ArmInfo.  The “Strong Armenia” bloc is currently developing a program to turn Tigranashen into a tourism center. The leader of the “Strong Armenia” bloc, businessman Samvel Karapetyan, stated this to journalists, referring to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statements that the Armenian village of Tigranashen belongs to “Azerbaijan.”

Thus, “Our political force is currently developing a program under which this territory could become a tourism center. This program also envisages opening various production facilities there so that people do not leave their homeland,” the politician said on September 11 in a conversation with journalists near the building of the Anti-Corruption Court in Yerevan.

 

Overall, Karapetyan believes that Pashinyan will continue calling other territories of Armenia by Azerbaijani toponyms as well. According to him, tomorrow Pashinyan will hand over Tigranashen under the pretext of it being an enclave, and the day after tomorrow they will ask for Yerevan, then Sevan, and then something else. Meanwhile, he said, their political team has a program for returning them. “During meetings with members of our political force, the residents of Tigranashen conveyed that they want to live in their homes and create in their homeland, while we intend to help develop it,” Karapetyan concluded.

It should be noted that during a briefing on September 11, the Prime Minister of Armenia once again stated that the village of Tigranashen in the Ararat Province is an “Azerbaijani enclave” and that its fate will be determined during negotiations. According to him, all those who say otherwise are provoking war.
