



ArmInfo. On September 8, a general meeting of the members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia was held in Yerevan. The agenda included the election of associate and foreign members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the NAS of the Republic of Armenia, 38 applications were submitted for the election of associate members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. 35 applications were approved based on a multi-stage review and compliance with the criteria established by the NAS of the Republic of Armenia.
Following the election of 35 associate members, 31 members were elected.
A total of 34 applications were submitted for the 2026 selection competition for foreign members of the NAS of the Republic of Armenia. Following a comprehensive qualitative and scientific evaluation conducted by professional commissions formed within the NAS of the Republic of Armenia subdivisions to analyze and evaluate applications, 23 applications were guaranteed admission to the selection competition. All guaranteed candidates are renowned scientists representing leading international research centers and universities. All 23 candidates were selected.
