ArmInfo. In January-July 2026, 17,096 children were born in Armenia, a 2.4% decrease compared to the same period last year. The birth rate per 1,000 inhabitants during the reporting period was 9.5 per thousand, compared to 9.8 per thousand a year earlier.

During the reporting period, 14,484 people died in Armenia, a 4.4% decrease compared to the same period last year. The mortality rate in the country was 8 per thousand, compared to 8.5 per thousand a year ago.

Thus, the absolute value of natural population growth was 2,612 people, an increase of 9.7% over the year. The natural population growth rate during the reporting period was 1.5 per thousand, compared to 1.3 per thousand the previous year.
