The Prime Minister of Armenia will participate in the International Space Summit.

ArmInfo. On September 9, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan departed for France for a two-day working visit. This was reported by the RA government press service.

According to a source, the Prime Minister will participate in the International Space Summit in Paris, France.

The summit, which will take place on September 9-10, will be the first event of its kind. On the eve of the summit, French Space Minister Philippe Baptiste stated that the meeting would bring together delegations from approximately 120 countries and bring "a huge number of important announcements." The upcoming event is also intended to be an important "political moment" for Europe. Organized at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron and Germany, the summit will be held without Chancellor Friedrich Merz due to his busy domestic political schedule. Furthermore, four major American space companies have withdrawn from the forum amid pressure from the Donald Trump administration.

The forum will address vital industry issues such as the deployment of mega-constellations of satellites, managing growing space traffic, and the use of radio frequencies needed by satellites to communicate with Earth and each other. As the number of satellites in orbit increases, the risk of mutual interference increases, making frequency allocation an increasingly important issue for the industry. Another concern is the growing volume of space debris, which complicates the use of orbit.
