Armenia and Uzbekistan held inter-MFA political consultations

ArmInfo. Political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Uzbekistan were held in Yerevan on September 7. The consultations were chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan and Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov.

According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues, including political dialogue at the highest and highest levels, emphasizing the importance of further developing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in various fields.

Safaryan and Usmanov paid special attention to prospects for deepening trade and economic ties, attracting investment, and cooperation in high technology, education, and tourism. Strengthening the partnership between business circles and maintaining an active dialogue were noted as an important step. In this regard, the consultation participants welcomed the restoration of direct air service between Yerevan and Tashkent and agreed to intensify efforts to deepen cooperation in transport infrastructure.

The parties emphasized the importance of expanding the legal and contractual framework of bilateral relations to realize the potential for cooperation in various areas.

The parties discussed issues of mutual participation in international events held in Armenia and Uzbekistan, as well as cooperation in international organizations.
