ArmInfo. Two partner "Russian Houses" will open in Artashat and Ashtarak. This was announced by Igor Chaika, head of Rossotrudnichestvo, before the signing ceremony of the agreement establishing these structures.

The document establishing these partnership structures was signed on September 8 at the Public Chamber of Russia by Chaika and Vahram Karapetyan, CEO of the Cultural and Educational Charitable Foundation "Our Future."

At the signing ceremony, Chaika announced that the agency will open a total of 11 new partner Russian Houses, including in Armenia.

"We have 86 Russian House representative offices in 70 countries around the world. They are opened as a result of negotiations between country leaders and the signing of relevant agreements. Over the past few years, the agency has been implementing another format – partner Russian Houses,” he said. In this vein, he reported that to date, there were 25 partner Russian Houses operating in 22 countries.

“We are essentially expanding our network by half today. We’re not just opening partner Russian Houses in new countries and locations – we’re significantly changing the program itself, and agreements are being signed based on new operating principles.” We are increasing the intensity of our work and the level of control, and most importantly, we are introducing a quality assessment system.

We are counting on greater engagement from our partners and concrete results in promoting the Russian language, Russian education, science, and culture, and implementing historical, youth, humanitarian, and other projects," Chaika said.

Noting that there are already successful examples of this new concept, he explained that this is their first time expanding into the CIS. "Two partnership houses will open in Armenia – in the cities of Artashat and Ashtarak," he said, after which the corresponding document was signed.

New sites will also open in Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar, Mali, Sao Tome and Principe,

Senegal, Sierra Leone, Thailand, and Togo.
