ArmInfo. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced the construction of three important road junctions in the capital.
At a working meeting on September 7, he noted that these include an overpass on the Noragavit section of the North-South Interstate Highway, an unfinished section of the Babajanyan-Ashtarak Highway, and the Isakov-Arshakunyants interchange. Presenting the progress of the work, Mayoral Advisor Anita Babayan announced that work on the Isakov-Arshakunyants interchange will begin at the end of September and will last approximately 18 months. She explained that this section connects Monte Melkonyan Street with Arshakunyants Avenue, which will be essential for traffic management and transportation junctions. The total length of the road will be 6.6 km, the width will be 25 m, and there will be 6 traffic lanes. The project also includes a 270 m long bridge over the Hrazdan River. It is financed under a loan agreement between the Asian Development Bank and the Government of Armenia.
