As the source notes, the Syunik regional prosecutor's office, within the framework of its authority to protect state (community) interests, examined documents on the allocation of land plots located in the "May 28" Park in the city of Sisian to various individuals. The inspection revealed that a 0.03-hectare plot of land located in the park was allocated to an individual with construction rights in violation of legal requirements. The prosecutor's office sent a petition to the head of the Sisian community requesting measures to terminate the construction rights agreement concluded on July 7, 2009, between the Sisian community and the developer. Based on a petition, following measures taken by the competent authorities of the Sisian Municipality, the Cadastre Committee terminated the registered construction right on a 0.03-hectare plot of land with a cadastral value of 564,000 drams, which is approximately equal to the market value. The land was returned to the community.
It should be noted that the park covers an area of 9,595.68 square meters, where land plots were allocated to 17 individuals under contracts conferring construction rights. As a result of the intervention of the Prosecutor's Office, nine land plots totaling 4,934.48 square meters, allocated to seven individuals, have been returned to the Sisian community to date. Work to return eleven land plots allocated to ten individuals to the community is ongoing.
