Our country needs a revolution again - Pashinyan

ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the presentation of former Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan's book "Take a Step, Reject Serzh" at the National Gallery of Armenia.

According to the government's press service, the book is a unique documentary chronicle of the internal processes, organizational details, and historical shifts associated with the velvet nonviolent revolution of 2018. Combining personal experience, political analysis, and facts, the author opens the door to the events that shaped the nationwide movement. The book details the tactics of street struggle, the complexities of organizing civil disobedience, and the decisive stages on the road to victory.

Nikol Pashinyan delivered a speech and quoted Mao Zedong, who was asked about the French Revolution: "It's too early to draw conclusions about this."

Since the 2018 revolution, my conclusions about the revolution have changed every week. Reading Armen Grigoryan's book—by the way, I haven't finished it yet—again raised the question: what do I think of the People's, Nonviolent, Velvet Revolution of 2018? Indeed, I now completely agree with Mao Zedong.

"It's too early to draw conclusions about that," the Prime Minister said.

According to Pashinyan, there's no point in drawing conclusions at all, since any revolution is an opportunity.

And this is an opportunity for everyone. The question is how each of us uses this

opportunity and how we used it. And today, revolution is also an opportunity.

According to the Prime Minister, the main challenge of a revolution is to prevent it from reaching zero, that is, returning to the state from which it began.
