ArmInfo. US President Donald Trump shared an article by his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, on the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan on his Truth Social page.
In an article published in the Washington Examiner, Witkoff noted that the agreement between the two countries ended a conflict that had lasted more than 35 years.
The issue of ensuring communication between the mainland of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan was raised, which is where the idea of the TRIP route through Armenia arose, while respecting the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"The South Caucasus is safer and more stable today because Trump, Aliyev, and Pashinyan chose results over rhetoric," Witkoff wrote.
As a reminder, on August 8 of last year, in Bely A trilateral meeting between the leaders of the United States, Armenia, and Azerbaijan took place at the house. During this meeting, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a joint declaration aimed at resolving the conflict between Yerevan and Baku.
