The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: a rescuer is always by the citizen`s side in any situation, enjoying high public trust.

In her address to the Rescue Service employees, RA Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan noted that being a rescuer is a calling that requires professionalism, dedication, and a willingness to risk one's life for the sake of others. "A rescuer is always by the citizen's side in any situation, enjoying high public trust, and today the state supports rescuers with the same responsibility."

This logic underlies the Rescue Service reforms. For us, reform is not simply structural or institutional changes. Our goal is to create a modern, technically equipped, and professional service where employee work is valued, adequate compensation, social guarantees, and safe working conditions are provided. An ongoing certification process is an important component of this policy. We want to create a system where knowledge, training, and conscientious work are not only in demand but also valued through professional growth, high salaries, and social benefits. Today, hundreds of rescuers are already receiving a decent salary. We are also continuing a large-scale technical upgrade of the service. Rescue units are being equipped with new fire and rescue vehicles and rapid response vehicles, modern specialized equipment, rescue tools, and new technology. This work will continue.

Working conditions for employees are also improving. New and improved infrastructure was recently commissioned, and in the coming days, a new administrative complex for the Yeghegnadzor Fire and Rescue Squad will be opened, creating modern and appropriate working conditions.

At the same time, we will continue to develop our capabilities for rapid response, prevention, civil defense, and crisis management, implement new technologies and procedures, and improve the quality of professional education and training.

Dear rescuers! Thank you for your courage, your difficult and responsible service, for every life you save, and for your willingness to extend a helping hand to every citizen in need. I also express special gratitude to your families, who share with you the responsibility, anxiety, and burden of this service.

Once again, I congratulate you on Rescuer's Day. I wish you health, safe service, and professional growth, and that you continue to improve, above all, every day," the minister said in his address.
