According to the source, the Syunik Regional Prosecutor's Office, as part of its authority to protect state (community) interests, examined documents on the allocation of land plots located in the park to various individuals. The inspection revealed that the 0.05308 hectare plot of land was allocated to an individual with construction rights in violation of legal requirements.
The Prosecutor's Office sent a petition to the head of the Sisian community requesting measures to terminate the construction rights agreement concluded between the Sisian community and the developer on June 11, 2009. Based on a petition, following measures taken by the competent authorities of the Sisian Municipality, the Cadastre Committee terminated the registered construction right on a land plot with a cadastral value of 997,000 drams, which is approximately equal to the market value. The land plot was returned to the ownership of the Sisian community.
It should be noted that the Sisian Community Park covers an area of 9,595.68 square meters, where land plots were allocated to 17 individuals under construction contracts.
As a result of the intervention of the Prosecutor's Office, eight land plots with a total area of 4,103,733 square meters have been returned to the Sisian community to date. Work to return 12 land plots allocated to 11 individuals to the community is ongoing.
