Media: A criminal case has been opened against the supermarket chain "88"

ArmInfo. Armenia's law enforcement system didn't take long to react. Following Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's demand today, the Prosecutor General's Office announced in response to a request from Radio Liberty's Armenian service that it had opened a criminal case in connection with the activities of the "88" supermarket chain, owned by Narek Nalbandyan.

The office did not provide information on the article under which the criminal case was initiated or which department is currently conducting the investigation.

As a reminder, speaking at a briefing on September 3, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan instructed law enforcement agencies to launch an investigation to determine whether wealthy Armenian businessman Narek Nalbandyan is indeed attempting to link the prime minister's family to his business. Nalbandyan himself denies any ties to any political party.
